S.O.S

Do you remember Caboodles? Well my love of those little plastic trunks has led to my current makeup storage system- a large silver makeup carrying case that works great in tight spaces (i.e. my bathroom). While getting ready this morning, I realized that if stranded on a desert island, my case could hold many life-saving items in its many compartments. Here are just a few things I would need for survival.....

1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer spf 20 - Not a fan of foundation, I love that this provides some coverage without a heavy feeling. It comes in an oil-free verson and in different shades (I use the "nude" color). (http://www.lauramercier.com/, http://www.sephora.com/)
2. Lorac TANtilzer body bronzing illuminator- Any event or wedding that requires bare body parts will benefit from this liquid shimmer that doesn't smell like a tanning bed. It doesn't stain the skin orange; just use it like makeup for your body (hint: put it on before the clothing to avoid spots) (http://www.sephora.com/)
3. Maybelline Intense XXL (volume and length) Mascara in Very Black-unable to afford Latisse and its eyelash growing ability, this mascara has helped my little lashes look longer. I have tried every type of mascara and this works great. You can find it at almost any drug store (just buy two because you'll go through it quickly)
4. Anatasia Beverly Hills brow powder duo-II (http://www.anastasia.net/, http://www.sephora.com/)- given my addication to plucking, using this powder with a smalled angled brush has been helpful. It fills in any gaps or thin areas of your brow without looking waxy or super dark. (I use medium-ash color)

  1. Thought I'd share that if any of you girls are desperate to try Latisse, but are holding back due to the price you can purchase generic Latisse at alldaychemist.com. Only $10 for a bottle. I found this on a review at realself.com.
